Dr. Xinhua Li was born in 1966 in Hunan province, China. Edcation: BA: Hunan Hengyang medical college; MS: School of Public Health, Shanghai Medical University; PHD: Epidemiology and Statistics, Mecical Center of Erusmus University, Netherlands. From 2000 to 2004, Dr. Li was the director of Division of Health Promotion and Education, Department of Maternal and Child Health Care and Community Health, Ministry of Health. Dr. Li expertizes in epidemiology of chronic disease. He witnessed the whole process of negotiation and execution of WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. From 2004 to 2006, Dr. Li was the tech consul of Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York. And since 2007, he has been the director of Division of Health Promotion and Education, Department of Maternal and Child Health Care and Community Health, Ministry of Health. Dr. Li is the PI of many natinal and international projects on chronic disease prevention, and has published about 40 papers in Chinese and international journals.
