Dr. Xiaosong Li obtained his master degree in Epidemiology from Peking Union Medical College, and his doctor degree in Statistics from Sichuan University. He used to study in University of Washington, Seattle as advanced visiting scholar. Dr Li is member of  Royal Statistical Society, member of China Society of biostatistics, and member of Council of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. He is also in the board of many journals.
Dr. Li expertizes in application of statistical models in epidemic of communicable diseases and statistics and policy making. He is now serving as PI for two projects from China National Natural Science Fundation on this topic. He was responsible for research on application of multi-level structural equation model in research funds for scholars coming back from aboard; research on multi-level survival model for lung cancer risk factors and estimation of lowest exposure dose; research on estimation and projection of average latent period of AIDS among high risk populations; and research on detection model for communicable disease aggregation, which was supported by WHO.
Dr. Li has published many papers in Chinese and international journals. And he is the chief editor of Medical Statistics.
